How to Organize a Wine Tasting Party

Organize a wine tasting party is a great way to get family and friends to know new wine and just enjoy an evening together. If you are inviting wine lovers or occasional drinkers of wine, here are some tips for a tasting party wine successfully.

Step One: Select the type of wine to serve

First, start by choosing the type Tasting of wines you'd like in your party. There are several types to choose from:

Vertical Tasting: Tasting of the same varietal wines of the same manufacturer and the same vineyard, changing only the production year. This allows your guests to see how a wine changes from year to year.

Horizontal Wine Tasting: The horizontal tasting is the choice of wine varieties of the same year from different vineyards

Old World VS. New World Here we compare grape varieties grown in the "Old World" (ie, Europe – France, Italy, Germany, Austria, Spain, Portugal) with the varieties grown in the "New World" (ie, North America, South America, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia).

"Priceless" Wine tasting: For the "Priceless Cata" simply retain the price of the various wines featured in the tasting.

Price Point Wine Tasting: The "Price Point" means simply tasting wines from a range of prices.

The Big Eight: When it comes to wine, "Ocho Big "refers to eight popular varieties of wine the world has been broken in both the red" and "white." This tasting will offer its guests a new appreciation and more education for what is offered. Red wines that make up the Big Eight are: Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Syrah / Shiraz. The Big Eight White Wines include: Chardonnay, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Gris / Pinot Grigio.

Here's what you need for your party:

Wine: Choose at least four to six different types of wine as a starting point point. Each 750 ml bottle of wine will about eight to twelve wine samples. The use as a guide to determine how many bottles of each wine to buy.

Normally, when tasting wines, you must start with the white wines, from dry to sweet job. From there go to red wines, from light and progress to body with body. We also recommend wines to start with younger and have more mature wines at the end of the tasting.

It is also important to remember the ideal temperature for serving your guests to enjoy the full experience of wine. Here is a guide to guide:

Sweet White Wines: 37-43 ° F

White Dry Young Wines: 41-45 ° F
